Sunday school classes are held during the school year, from September to June on Sunday mornings from 9:-00-10:00. Classes are available for children from birth through senior high school. Children in the elementary classes gather for announcements, song and prayer in the fellowship hall from 9-9:15. They then go to their individual classes. Students in junior and senior high go immediately to their class rooms at 9:00. Parents are free to attend the 9:00 worship service or the adult Sunday school class while children are in Sunday school.
On the forth Sunday of each month, the children begin Sunday school with a light breakfast. They lead praise songs at the 10:15 worship service.
One Sunday in June is set aside for all classes to participate in the leading of 10:15 worship service.
Sunday school curriculum focuses on Bible stories in the Old and New Testaments and on application of Biblical truths . Jesus’ love and the way to salvation are taught.
The 10:15 worship service contains a time for the children to come forward and hear a message given either by the Pastor or an adult volunteer. Children are encouraged to attend and participate in worship.
Our Nursery room has recently been updated to better provide a place where children can safely play, explore, and most importantly learn about God’s love.
A baby/toddler Sunday school class (ages birth up to 3 years of age) is held every Sunday morning during the school year in our nursery from 9:00 to 10:00.
Following Sunday school class, the Nursery is staffed to provide child care for children 5 years of age and under to accommodate those parents who wish to attend the 10:15 worship service.
Sunday School Buddies
Covering our children with prayer is very important to us. The children of each family in Sunday school are assigned an adult buddy who will pray for and encourage them throughout the year. For more information, or if you are interested in becoming a Sunday school buddy, please contact Judy Messinger, Sunday School Superintendent (348-9204)
